Putting practice at my home course today, 3ft, 6ft and 10ft putts, final competition i holed 3ft 4 of 6, 6ft 6 of 6 and 10ft 3of 6 putts. Much better alignment and pace control. Review time: WellPutt Stroke Master WellPutt reached out and informed us that we were one of the first customers to receive this training aid and hoped that we could maybe review their product so off to the studio it was for some for some putting practice. We knew the quality would be good as we have another WellPutt mat in the studio and this is was no exception. Right out the box the mat design is simple, straightforward to understand, setting up is a breeze (apart form the gate) but we will come onto that, but overall set up took less than 2 minuets. The “guide arcs” are chunky and well made, easy to line up which helps keep your putting stroke neutral, any waywardness you can instantly tell, which is great feedback. The length of the mat, is perfect, great length for longer putts however short enough for the smallest of house rooms to practice in comfort without moving furniture out the way, our longer WellPutt mat proved to be a little too long so the Stroke Master is a welcomed addition to the studio. The hole/gate aid is well made, however trying to set this up as a gate proved a little difficult as it kept falling over, if it had some stability legs that it could sit in this would improve practice sessions as more time would be putting rather than setting up the gate. That’s really the only negative thing I have to say. The best part is the ball return, it works perfectly so well done WellPutt Again if the ball is short it is easily retrievable from the putting stance position due to the length of the mat and if you stoke it perfectly the ball returns to the start point location, this improves practice repeatability and overall enjoyment during a putting practice session.
